“Owner of Manhattan” star Jordan March Her tense on-screen showdown with the boss has lifted the lid Ryan Sirhant In Season 2 of the hit real estate reality series, when he discovers the fate of his career at a celebrity-run real estate agency.
A 16-year real estate veteran, March has played an integral role in Seurat’s success since the real estate mogul opened her own undisclosed brokerage in 2020, helping shape the company into a polished, camera-ready powerhouse of fans.
But, in the second season of “Manhattan,” which hits Netflix on Dec. 5, viewers see tensions between the longtime friends simmer as March confronts Seurat repeatedly about being overlooked for bigger new developments, with Newcomer’s arrival adding to the frustrations. Peter Zeitzefwho quickly began landing projects, March realized he had earned it.
At the season finale, viewers were surprised to see Seurat confront March about her role at the brokerage, until she was given an ultimatum: stay loyal to the team — or walk away from the company altogether.
Speaking to Realtor.com, March reflected on the early days of his role at the company, which he says was then managed like a “family-run startup.”
“So when I first started with Seerat, we were in a small townhouse, in a small space in Tribeca, so it was one of us on top of each other, and then we moved into a bigger space, and it’s grown a lot since then.”
“Now they’re in 15 or 16 states, that’s half of the week out, and we’re going to be in the top 10 firms at the end of the year.”
Although he has been with the company since day one, March’s disappointments are met in the season 2 premiere when Zeitzef is tapped as the sales director for 200 Amsterdam Ave.
Speaking about his feelings in the moment, March said, “I’ve worked with Ryan on a number of projects, and we had discussions about possibly being at 200 Amsterdam, because I sold some penthouses nearby in the Upper West. I have a huge business in the Upper West, I have a lot of buyers there.
“It seemed like it was a logical move, and it was like, ‘I owe you.’ The guy was brand new, plus we have, we have a very talented staff that is here and is really contributing to this culture and adding value, money and everything. “
What’s more, March says that the feedback he was given — to try harder to prove himself worthy of the biggest lists.
“I’m here to help build this company, and these developments are really how I move my career forward to contribute to the growth that I’ve contributed to,” he explained. “When I helped Ryan build his company, it was all hustle. When I went through the pandemic, it was all hustle.
“So saying to work harder, and that’s how we’re going to rank the charts when I’m really at the top isn’t really addressing the real, clear conversation about how I need to get to the next stage of my career.”
However, March’s hard work paid off at the end of the season when he landed at 1 Park Row, another luxury development located in the harbour.
At that moment, he says, “there was a moment when I stopped playing catch-up and started playing to win. I think that’s the moment that everyone will remember in this story. Success is the sweetest reward.”
However, their celebrations were short-lived when March once again got into a heated argument after meeting with a different broker.
“Ultimately, there is no perfect relationship between a boss and his workers. For me, working with Ryan is still a way for me to leverage my career but, I put a lot into it. I’m willing to not get away from what I see and, ultimately, what I can leverage in Ryan.”
“I’m not necessarily going to let people push me. I’m going on my terms, I’m going on my time, and I think it’s important that I control my own narrative.”
Although they are now “planted” in Sirtant, March admits that they will do Consider walking away from a powerhouse brokerage.
“That doesn’t mean all offers are off the table,” he noted. He added that he would consider leaving Sirat for the “perfect offer”.
At the end of the season, viewers see March walking away from the tense showdown between himself and Seurat, even though they are now “friendly” and will always be “brothers”, they will need to talk about the events that will happen in the near future.
