Sidney Sweeney And Amanda Seyfried A small New Jersey town was turned into a Hollywood hot spot for the filming of his new movie, “The Housemaid,” which was primarily shot in a sprawling mansion in a leafy community in a garden setting.

Sweeney, 27, and Seyfried, 39, star as the two leading ladies in the highly anticipated film adaptation. Freda McFaddenThe best-selling novel hits theaters on December 19.

On Dec. 2, the pair stunned on the red carpet at “The Housemaid” premiere, where Seyfried donned a light sequin gown, while Sweeney opted for a shimmering silver dress as they posed for snaps with their costars.

Their appearance was followed by photos of the A-list duo in their roles released by People, offering a first look at the project, and the extraordinary historic home in which it was filmed.

Photos from the set of the film show Sweeney – who stars as maid Millie Callaway and Seyfried – as Nina Winchester, and the extensive surrounding Madison, N.J., estate, which was built in 1909.

The home features six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms and sits on 1.86 acres. It also boasts high ceilings and a three-car garage.

While the interior is impressive, it’s the exterior that draws the eye the most, thanks to the lush greenery and palace-inspired facade.

It’s no surprise that the multi-storey house was used as the main filming location for the film as it offers ultimate privacy thanks to its long stone driveway.

According to property records, the home last sold in 2015 for $12.1 million. It is not clear who owns the house.

realtor.com® The property is now estimated to be worth $3.8 million.

According to northjersey.com, the cast and crew of “The Housemaid” were first spotted outside of Madison in January.

During the winter months, the film’s production crew was seen camping their film equipment in the house.

In the film, Sweeney’s character begins working as a live-in maid for a wealthy couple in an attempt to restart her life and leave her past behind for good.

However, things go south when a seemingly routine gig turns dangerous. The description of the film promises “secrets, scandal and a seductive game of power”.

Director Paul Feig told People that Sweeney and Seyfried’s chemistry is “just through the roof.”

“They are both such powerful talents and work so well off each other that you get sucked into their screen world very quickly,” he said.

Seyfried revealed that fans will love the film because it completely follows the same nail-biting theme of the book.

Seyfried said, “The film captures what fans love about the book — the mystery, tension and twists. We can’t wait for audiences to immerse themselves in the experience.”

Meanwhile, Sweeney revealed that her character, Millie, is “the kind of character I like to play: complex, strong and with a little something up her sleeve.”

“I can’t wait for the fans to see how hard we all worked to bring ‘Housekeeper’ to life,” he added.

Feig claimed that Sweeney’s character is “someone we immediately invest in as she moves into a very exotic world of wealth and high expectations.”

Meanwhile, Seyfried’s character, Nina, is “a picture of unpredictability and extremes.”

“It’s thrilling to see Millie-Nina’s relationship change over the course of the film as their relationship evolves,” he said.

The director noted that Sweeney and Seyfried “are a real joy to work with.”

“They’re both up for anything, and we had a lot of fun playing with all the twists and turns that the story takes these characters.

“They both slipped into these difficult roles with ease and owned them completely. We couldn’t have had a better time making this film,” he said.

Feig revealed that the script, which was written by Rebecca SonnenshineIt is a “faithful interpretation” of the book, however, with a good number of surprises “along the way”. ”

“And no, I’m not teasing any surprises. They have to be seen to be believed,” he added.

He called the film “shocking, delicious and entertaining”. The director added, “‘The Housemaid’ is pure entertainment. It’s a sexy and amazing rollercoaster ride of a film that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. It’s the kind of craziness you want to watch this holiday season.”

“So bring your friends and wear your pearls because you’ll definitely be catching them!”
